Three Gulls

The first birds I painted in watercolor (from life) were birds at the feeder in my backyard. Seagulls, on trips to the coast, came not long afterwards. They tend to flock, to hang out where human food is served, and spend much time on the ground waiting for handouts. Like weathervanes, they also tend to stand in the same direction.
